From the ether extract of the roots of A. koreana, in addition to the previously isolated coumarins from this plant such as isoimperatorin, mp, 108-10°, osthol, mp 83-4°, imperatorin, mp 104-5°and oxypeucedanin, 139-40°, three known furanocoumarins such as bergapten, mp 185-7°, isooxypeucedanin, mp 143-4°and oxypeucedanin methanolate, mp 124-7°, were newly isolated as minor coumarins. All the furanocoumarins inhibited drug metabolizing enzyme activity.
